Welcome to Moga Noga: A Taste of Joy in Every Bite
Hey there! I’m Gloria, and I’m glad you’ve come here to Moga Noga. This tiny web-based space is my love-child that is an area where food and Heart and where each recipe has a story to tell. Take a seat and sip some tea (or perhaps pick up a slice of something tasty), and let me tell you the story of how it all started.
The Story Behind Moga Noga
I would say that my passion for food started in my grandmother’s kitchen. When I was a kid, weekends were filled with boiling pots, a flour-sprayed countertop and their laughter while they told stories while mixing dough. Food is more than food; it is a way to express love, a method to unite people.
As I grew older, I carried the same conviction around, but the world, like it usually does, became hectic. Between work, family, and everything else, I began to rely on take-out meals more than I wanted to admit. Then, a few years ago, I noticed a shift. A friend gave me a recipe box, accompanied by an inscription written by hand: “For the moments when you need to reconnect with yourself.” It was a very simple gesture, but it ignited something within me.
I began cooking again, not only for the sake of eating but also to slow down and explore and to develop. Then I discovered the joy my grandmother always spoke of how warming soup could soothe you during a difficult day or how sharing a meal made from scratch can spark laughter and create bonds. This is when I realized I wanted to make an environment to be a part of that experience with other people. So, Moga Noga was born.
